Higher volumes, Unipol acquisition bolster W.R. Grace results

W.R. Grace reports second-quarter net income of $136.7 million, 50.6% higher year-on-year (YOY), on higher sales volumes and acquisitions. Adjusted earnings were flat YOY at $1.22/share, but beat a $1.16/share consensus of analyst estimates compiled by Thomson Reuters (New York). Sales increased 4.4% YOY, to $838 million, on a 4% increase in volumes.
