World News and Views :: Top of the News Higher Volumes and Selling Prices Lift DSM's Operating Profits4:52 AM MDT | November 2, 2010 | Kerri Walsh DSM's third-quarter sales and operating profit from continuing operations rose in the third quarter because of improved volumes and selling prices across most of the company's businesses. DSM operating profit from continuing operations jumped 28%, to €185 million, on sales up 19%, to €2.2 billion. Net income including discontinued operations and exceptional items fell 10%, to €358 million. Economic growth continued during the quarter, but at a slower pace than in the second quarter, DSM says.
