He succeeds Ben van Beurden, who becomes Shell’s downstream director and member of Shell’s executive committee as part of his new role. Van Beurden will succeed Mark Williams, who retires after 33 years’ service. Van’t Hoff currently serves as chairman of Shell UK and executive v.p. of CO2 and alternative energies.
