President Obama convened the panel to report on immediate steps that can be taken to improve the safety and environmental performance of shale gas development, DOE says. The panel says the risk to public health from fluid leakage into drinking water wells is remote, but says there is not reason to block public disclosure of the chemicals used in fracturing...
