Gazprom urges Ukraine to settle gas debt, Odessa stops fertilizer output at one plant

Gazprom on Thursday held discussions with Ukraine’s energy group Naftogaz of Ukraine (Kiev) urging the company to settle the accumulated debt for the supply of natural gas. Discussions were held between Alexey Miller, chairman of Gazprom and Andrey Kobolev, CEO of Naftogaz. Gazprom says that Naftogaz owes more than $2.2 billion, including overdue payments for March supplies.   Gazprom expressed concerns over the reduction in the working gas capacity in the underground storage facilities in Ukraine, which need to be replenished to meet domestic demand...
