Fujifilm to Acquire Merck & Co.’s Biopharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing Business

Fujifilm (Tokyo) and Merck & Co. (Whitehouse Station, NJ) say they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Fujifilm will acquire the Merck biomanufacturing network, a provider of contract manufacturing and development services for the biopharmaceutical industry. Fujifilm, under the terms of the agreement, will purchase two Merck subsidiaries - Diosynth and MSD Biologics UK, which together own all assets of the Merck biomanufacturing network comprising facilities located at Research Triangle Park, NC; and Billingham, U.K. The acquisition will also...
