FMC Beats Estimates on Strong Crop Protection Demand

FMC reported net income of $105 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, 2% lower than the same year-ago period. Excluding special charges, earnings increased 20% year-over-year, to 92 ct/share, and narrowly beat analysts’ estimates of 90 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
