FECC Congress: Quimidroga Seeks to Grow Organically

Quimidroga (Barcelona) is seeking mainly organic growth in an effort to strengthen its position as the leading chemical distributor in Spain and Portugal, managing director Vicente Munoz says. In a keynote address yesterday to the European chemical distributors’ association annual congress, currently taking place in Barcelona, Munoz said that Quimidroga is “open to acquisitions, but organic growth is optimal to preserve our culture and brand.” Quimidroga is privately owned and has sales of about €500 million ($611 million)/year.
