ExxonMobil Found Liable in New York MTBE Case

A federal jury in Manhattan has ruled that ExxonMobil is liable for contaminating the New York City drinking water wells with fuel additive methyl tert-butyl ether, awarding the city $105 million. The city had sought about $250 million in compensatory damages.
