Evonik to expand precipitated silica capacity at US site

Evonik Industries says it plans to increase its production capacities for precipitated silica at the company's Chester, PA site by about 20,000 m.t./year. Evonik's new facility, in which the company is investing an amount in the low double-digit euros range, is scheduled to become operational in 2014.
