Evonik to Commercialize New Aveneer MMA Production Technology

Evonik Industries expects to decide on the location of the first methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant using its new Aveneer catalytic process in 2011, with construction due for completion in 2014. The plant will have a capacity of 150,000 m.t.-200,000 m.t./year. All of Evonik's existing MMA production sites in Europe, North America and Asia, as well as green field sites close to customer industries, are under consideration, the company says.
