World News and Views :: Top of the News Evonik Plans Cyanuric Chloride Plant10:09 AM MST | December 17, 2007 | CW Editorial Staff Evonik Industries and joint venture partner Liu Zhixun have begun construction of a new 30,000 m.t/year cyanuric chloride plant at Chongqing, China. Total investment is €24 million. The plant is due onstream in late 2008. The jv, Degussa Sanzheng Fine Chemicals, was formed in 2005 between Degussa and Liu Zhixun. Evonik now owns a 65% stake in the jv. Demand for cyanuric chloride, an agricultural intermediate, is growing about 7%/year in China, Evonik...
