Evonik Plans Cyanuric Chloride Plant

Evonik Industries and joint venture partner Liu Zhixun have begun construction of a new 30,000 m.t/year cyanuric chloride plant at Chongqing, China. Total investment is €24 million. The plant is due onstream in late 2008. The jv, Degussa Sanzheng Fine Chemicals, was formed in 2005 between Degussa and Liu Zhixun. Evonik now owns a 65% stake in the jv.
