Evonik, LanzaTech sign biobased plastics deal

Evonik Industries and LanzaTech (Roselle, IL) have signed a three-year research cooperation agreement to jointly develop a bioprocess route to precursors for specialty plastics using waste-derived synthesis gas (syngas) as feedstock. The partnersip will combine Evonik's biotechnology platforms with LanzaTech’s synthetic biology and gas fermentation expertise.
