EuroChem's Ebitda, Sales Up; Russian Fertilizer Output Grows

EuroChem (Moscow), Russia's leading fertilizer producer and one of the global top 10, reported a 57% increase in Ebitda for the second quarter of this year to ruble7.7 billion ($255 million) on 38% higher revenues at ruble23.8 billion. Net profit was down66% to ruble2.5 billion compared with the second quarter of 2009, mainly due to exchange rates.
