EuroChem starts work on phosphate rock project in Kazakhstan

EuroChem (Moscow), one of the world's largest fertilizer companies, today announced the launch of construction work at its previously announced phosphate rock development project in Kazakhstan. The large-scale development of the phosphate rock deposit is being carried out by its Kazakhstan-based affiliate EuroChem Fertilizers. Initial production capacity will be approximately 640,000 m.t./year of phosphate ore, with first production expected to come onstream in 2014. The initial phase will require an investment of approximately $120 million, EuroChem says.  ...
