Enterprise Products to Use Catofin PDH Technology on Texas Gulf Coast

Enterprise Products Partners will use the Catofin propane dehydrogenation (PDH) technology for its previously announced plant on the Texas Gulf Coast, CW has learned. The facility will be designed to produce 750,000 m.t./year of polymer grade propylene and it will be the largest such standalone facility when it begins operations in the third quarter of 2015. It will utilize growing supplies of domestically produced propane. The Catofin process was developed by Lummus and Clariant’s subsidiary Süd-Chemie, which supplies catalysts for the process...
