World News and Views :: Top of the News Elementis Reports Increased Sales and Operating Profits in 20113:10 PM MST | February 28, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas Elementis (London) says its sales increased 9% in full-year 2011, to $760.5 compared with $697.4 million in full-year 2010. Operating profits also went up by 34%, to $137.1 million in 2011 compared with $74.1 million in 2010, Elementis says. The company did not announce results for the fourth quarter of 2011. Elementis's global presence, its differentiated product offering, and focus on core markets were the main reasons behind the increased results in 2011, which were achieved despite the challenging economic environment, the company says...
