Eastman to Beat First-Quarter Estimates

Eastman Chemical says first-quarter earnings excluding special items “are expected to be above the high end of the current range” of analysts’ estimates of $1.30/share as reported by First Call (Boston). “This solid performance was primarily due to continued strong sales volume and higher selling prices offsetting higher raw material and energy costs,” Eastman says.
