Eastman Earnings Gain on Strong Performance Chemicals Results

Eastman Chemical posted third-quarter net earnings of $100 million, up from $25 million in the year-ago quarter. Sales advanced 8%, to $1.8 billion. Earnings from continuing operations excluding one-time items were $1.35/share, up 5% from the year-ago quarter....
