World News and Views :: Top of the News EU chemicals output declines 1.8% in first 11 months of 201211:29 AM MST | January 31, 2013 | Sotirios Frantzanas EU chemicals production decreased 1.8% in the first 11 months of 2012 compared with the same period of 2011, according to Cefic’s latest Chemicals Trends Report. EU chemicals production for November 2012, however, increased 1.5% compared with November 2011. The latest data show that the EU chemicals production level in the first 11 months of 2012 remained 6.2% below the peak in 2007, Cefic says. Prices for chemicals in the European Union continued their upward movement and increased 2.7% in November 2012 compared with the same period of the prior year...
