World News and Views :: Top of the News EPA Reviews Safety Data on 57 High Volume Chemicals3:46 PM MST | December 5, 2007 | CW Editorial Staff EPA has released its second set of hazard characterizations for 57 of the most commonly manufactured chemicals that summarizes testing information submitted by industry under the high production volume (HPV) chemical testing program. "The hazard characterizations include a summary of the data submitted, EPA’s evaluation of the quality and completeness of the data, and an assessment of the potential hazards that a chemical or chemical category may pose," EPA says.
