ECHA confirms 2,923 more chemicals registered by second Reach deadline

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says that 2,923 more substances were registered by the second registration deadline of the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) regulation on 31 May. Meanwhile, 696 substances that had been registered for the first Reach deadline in December 2010 were registered by additional companies that joined the previous registrants.
