World News and Views :: Top of the News DuPont, Genencor Form JV to Produce Cellulosic Ethanol10:31 AM MDT | May 14, 2008 | Kara Sissell DuPont and Genencor, a division of Danisco, have formed a 50-50 joint venture to commercialize low-cost technology for cellulosic ethanol. The companies say the jv, DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol, will initially invest $140 million over three years and build a pilot plant in the U.S., slated for startup in 2009. The companies say they expect the technology to be ready for commercial scale applications by 2012.
