World News and Views :: Top of the News DuPont Details Additional Restructuring, Takes Second Quarter Charge9:01 AM MDT | May 7, 2009 | Kara Sissell DuPont says it will cut another 2,000 jobs, and take a pre-tax charge of $340 million-$390 million in the second quarter, with about 40% of that in non-cash assets. The job cuts are in addition to the 2,500 jobs and 4,000 contractor positions the company cut in December. The restructuring actions “will help preserve our strong cash position, streamline and accelerate our approach to markets and better position our business as global economies rebound,” says DuPont CEO Ellen Kullman.
