DuPont Combines Businesses; COO to Retire

DuPont says it will streamline operations, combining its 23 businesses into 14 units, and will eliminate five group v.p. positions. Chief Operating Officer Richard Goodmanson will retire effective September 30 and Nicholas Fanandakis, group v.p./Applied BioSciences, will become CFO effective Nov. 1, taking over from Jeffrey Keefer, who is moving on to other responsibilities at DuPont.
