World News and Views :: Top of the News Dow to Form Perchloroethylene JV in China5:54 AM MDT | March 29, 2011 | Ian Young Dow Chemical and Befar Group (Binzhou, China) have signed a preliminary agreement to form a 50-50 joint venture to produce perchloroethylene (PCE) in China. The companies will explore the development of a world-scale PCE plant at Binzhou, under the terms of the agreement. The plant would have an initial capacity of 40,000 m.t./year with the possibility to double production soon after. Dow and Befar Group expect production to begin in 2014.
