Dow and R&H in Talks for Pre-trial Settlement

Dow Chemical and Rohm and Haas (R&H) confirmed today that they are “in discussions relating to the merger of their companies and the pending litigation,” slated to go to trial on Monday in Georgetown, DE. “At this time, the companies cannot predict the outcome of these discussions.” The trial is to resolve the R&H lawsuit seeking to force Dow to follow through with its proposed $18.8 billion deal to acquire R&H.
