Dow and Mitsui & Co. Complete Formation of JV in Brazil

Dow Chemical and Mitsui & Co. have secured all necessary governmental regulatory approvals and completed the formation of the previously announced 50-50 joint venture in Brazil for the production of ethanol and biobased polymers. Mitsui & Co. is now an equal partner in Dow’s operation at Santa Vitória, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Plans for the jv was first announced in July 2011, and the initial scope of the jv includes production of sugar cane-derived ethanol.
