World News and Views :: Top of the News Dow-Solvay JV Starts Up Hydrogen Peroxide Plant in Thailand12:58 AM MDT | October 5, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Solvay says that the MTP HP JV Thailand (Bangkok) joint venture between Dow Chemical and Solvay has commissioned the previously announced hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) plant at Map Ta Phut industrial estate in Thailand. The plant, with a production capacity of over 330,000 m.t./year, is the largest H2O2 plant in the world, Solvay says. The new plant, which is based on Solvay’s technology, was constructed mainly to provide H2O2 for the previously announced hydrogen peroxide-to-propylene oxide (HPPO) project of SCG-Dow group, a jv among Dow and Siam Cement Group...
