Dow PUs announces capacity hikes in Texas, Thailand

Dow today announced several capacity hikes within its polyurethanes (PUs) business at Freeport, TX, and Map Ta Phut. Capital costs have not been disclosed. At Freeport, the company says it will debottleneck polyol and copolymer capacities. Dow says the plans will use double metal cyanide (DMC) catalysts to create polyol products with unique properties.
