Dow Earnings Rebound Strongly

Net income from continuing operations for the quarter was $552 million up from $24 million in first-quarter of 2009, and $178 million in fourth-quarter 2008. The North America and Europe, Mideast and Africa (EMEA) regions both saw volume growth of 11%, while emerging regions had volume growth of 27% versus the year-ago quarter.
