Dow Delays Brazil Sugarcane-Based PE Project

Dow Chemical will delay plans to build a $1-billion polyethylene (PE) plant in Brazil based on sugarcane-derived ethanol, but says a world-scale facility in Brazil is still a company priority. Dow initially projected startup of the plant for 2011, but that date that will be pushed back to 2012, Dow says....
