Dow-Davy technology selected by PetroChina

Dow Chemical and Johnson Matthey Davy Technologies (JM Davy; London) say that PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, has selected Dow and JM Davy’s LP Oxo Technology to produce 2-ethylhexanol, normal butanol, and isobutyraldehyde in its manufacturing complex at Jieyang, China. JM Davy is a Johnson Matthey subsidiary. PetroChina Guangdong Petrochemical’s new LP Oxo unit, with a capacity for 85,000 m.t./year of 2-ethylhexanol; 235,000 m.t./year of normal butanol; and 33,000 m.t./year of isobutyraldehyde, will adopt the LP Oxo...
