Demonstrations Force Shutdown of Methanex and Agrium Plants in Egypt

Methanex and Agrium have each suspended production temporarily at manufacturing plants at Damietta, Egypt due to demonstrations in the area. EMethanex, a 60-40 joint venture between Methanex and an Egyptian-Saudi consortium, halted output at its 1.3-million m.t./year methanol unit at Damietta.
