DIC Upgrades Earnings Forecast

DIC Corp. has upgraded its earnings forecast for the fiscal first half ended September 30, 2010. DIC expects to record net profits of ¥12 billion ($148 million), having previously forecast net profits of ¥8 billion. The sales forecast remains unchanged at ¥390 billion. The earlier forecasts were announced in August 2010.  The earnings forecast has been upgraded because DIC expects interest expenses to have declined as a consequence of falling interest rates and the loss on disposal of noncurrent assets, an extraordinary loss, to be smaller than...
