DIC Reports Rise in Profits

DIC Corp. (Tokyo) recorded a 93% rise in net profits for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, to ¥4.4 billion ($53 million), compared with the year-ago period. Third-quarter sales decreased by 2.8%, to ¥194.5 billion. The fall in sales was mainly due to the appreciation of yen, DIC says.
