DEHP, DBP authorization under Reach: ECHA initiates eight-week public consultation

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has received seven applications for authorization for uses of bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) under the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals (Reach) regulations. ECHA is now inviting interested parties to submit relevant information on alternatives to these uses.
