Cytec's Third-quarter Earnings Up 27%, but Warns of Weak End to 2011

Cytec Industries posted net earnings for the third quarter of $47.9 million, up 27% from the year-ago quarter. Sales were up 11%, to $778 million. Excluding one-time items, net earnings attributable to Cytec were $53.9 million, or $1.10/diluted share, 36% above analyst expectations as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
