Clariant to Cut More Jobs, Close Plants

 Clariant says it will cut 570 jobs, about 3% of its workforce, through plant closures in an effort to reduce costs. The restructuring will cost about SF150 million ($149 million), which will be booked mostly in 2009 and 2010, Clariant says.  The job cuts are in addition to the more than 2,000 cuts the company has previously announced. The restructuring costs are part of the SF200 million-SF300 million in restructuring charges Clariant has already planned.   Pigment plants will close at Huningue, France and part of Clariant's Frankfurt site...
