Clariant expands ethoxylation capacity in Texas

Clariant says it is planning a second expansion of its ethoxylation site at Clear Lake at Pasadena, TX. The first expansion was completed last year. The second expansion will include new reactors and additional storage facilities, bringing the overall ethoxylation capacity from 95,000 m.t./year to more than 125,000 m.t./year. The second expansion will be completed in mid-2015. Products manufactured include high-molecular weight polyethylene glycols, alcohol ethoxylates, sodium isethionates and ethoxylated specialties.
