World News and Views :: Top of the News City of Chicago Bans BPA11:26 AM MDT | May 14, 2009 | Kara Sissell The Chicago City Council has unanimously approved a ban on the sale of baby bottles and sippy cups that contain bisphenol A (BPA). The ban is slated to take effect January 31, 2010. Aldermen Manny Flores and Edward Burke sponsored he measure, according to the Associated Press. The ban requires the signature of Mayor Richard Daley, who intends to sign it, AP reports.
