Chinese firm selects Dow’s Unipol PP process technology

Dow Chemical says that Oriental Energy has signed a license agreement with Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow, for the Unipol polypropylene (PP) process technology for Oriental Energy’s new 400,000-m.t./year PP plant at Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province, China. This will be the first Dow Unipol PP unit in the eastern China coastal area, the center of the Chinese PP market, Dow says.
