World News and Views :: Top of the News Chinese commodities trader secures volumes from Canada Lithium12:04 PM MST | November 12, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Canada Lithium (Toronto) says it has signed an offtake agreement with commodities trader Tianjin Products and Energy Resources Development Co. (Tewoo-ERDC) for a minimum of 12,000 m.t. of battery-grade lithium carbonate, annually for five years, beginning in 2013. Delivery of the first 12,000 m.t. is scheduled to occur over the course of calendar-year 2013. For the four years following 2013, Tewoo-ERDC has committed to import a minimum 12,000 m.t./year with a provision to increase the offtake volumes by as much as 20% per year over the previous year's deliveries...
