World News and Views :: Top of the News China to Roll out Chemical Safety Legislation11:15 AM MDT | March 29, 2011 | Alex Scott China's State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) says it plans to introduce legislation to prevent hazardous chemicals exposure. State Decree 591, as it is known, will involve a new body of legislation dubbed Regulation on the Safe Management of Dangerous Chemicals. The regulation is “very wide ranging in scope and sets the tone for future chemicals legislation,” SAWS says in a recent statement.
