China Bans DEHP Tainted Food Imports from Taiwan

China has banned imports of certain food products and additives from Taiwan following a warning from authorities in Taipei that they contain excessive amounts of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), press reports say. The products include sports drinks, fruit juices and jams. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (Beijing) has published a list of Taiwanese companies whose products would be banned in China.
