Chemtura Plots Return to Specialty Status

Chemtura is working to demonstrate that it is worthy of specialty chemical status again after an 18-month stay in bankruptcy protection that ended in early November. Restructuring has cut its debt by nearly half, to $750 million, and helped alleviate environmental, legal and other legacy liabilities.
