World News and Views :: Top of the News California Delays January 1 Launch of Green Chemistry Regulations8:30 AM MST | January 6, 2011 | Kara Sissell California’s Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) will take more time to finalize its Safer Consumer Product Alternatives (SCPA) regulations after some lawmakers and environmental groups objected to recent changes to the rule that they said would make it ineffective. Critics of the latest revisions to the rules, which had been due out January 1, include Assemblyman Mike Fleuer (D., Los Angeles), the key sponsor of the 2008 bill that created the state’s green chemistry program....
