World News and Views :: Top of the News Cabot to Close Hong Kong Masterbatch Plant; Move Production to Tianjin12:13 AM MST | December 20, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Cabot says it will close its masterbatch plant in Hong Kong, by March 31, 2012, and will move production to its facility at Tianjin, China. All of Cabot’s masterbatch production in China will be at the Tianjin facility starting April 2012. Cabot’s masterbatch plant at Tianjin opened in September 2011 and currently has a production capacity of 45,000 m.t./year.
