Cabot Opens Masterbatch Plant in China

Cabot says it has opened its previously announced new black masterbatch plant at Tianjin, China. Cabot invested about $20 million in the new plant, which is located within the carbon black joint venture facility of Cabot and Shanghai Coking Chemical. The black masterbatch plant has a production capacity of about 45,000 m.t./year and the capacity can be expanded to 80,000 m.t./year in the future. “This world scale plant is a milestone for Cabot because it is the first fully integrated black masterbatch production plant with our carbon black production...
