Cabot Bluestar Completes Construction of Fumed Silica Plant in China

Cabot Bluestar Chemical, a joint venture between Cabot and China National Bluestar Group, has announced the completion of a previously announced fumed silica plant at the Spark industrial park in Jiangxi Province, China. The two companies began expansion on the project in September 2010. The facility can produce up to 15,000 m.t./year, with the near term potential to further expand to 20,000 m.t./year as demand in Asia grows.
